Not everyone wants to see our fun little zubbit.io logo on their call-to-action links. If that’s you, then we’ve put together this quick little guide to teach you how to hide the zubbit.io logo on your Zubbit call-to-action links:

Follow these Simple Steps:

1) Click on the Profile option on the top right hand corner menu on your dashboard:

2) You can now tick the Remove zubbit.io logo box to hide the logo or un-tick to show logo:

3) Then press save and check one of your call-to-action links and the Zubbit branding should be gone.

DONE!

You can easily use your own custom domain instead of the auto-generated one by simply adding it through the dashboard (please note this feature is not available on all subscriptions) and then updating a few DNS entries in your domain provider’s dashboard.

This will turn your Zubbit Links from https://zubb.it/1a2b3c to https://yourdomain.com/1a2b3c

You can use your root domain or if you already have a website hosted then a subdomain can be used as well.

For this example, we’re going to be using the following domain – zubbit.org

We will also set up a subdomain of subdomain.zubbit.org to show how you can do this if your root domain is already being used.

If you would like to use a custom domain, but don’t have one, you can buy one from here!.

Follow these Simple Steps

1) From the dashboard click Custom Domains:

2) Click the + Create Custom Domain button:

3) Enter an Alias to identify this Custom Domain, in this example, we have entered MyCustomDomain. Next, enter your Custom Domain Name, for this example, we have entered zubbit.org. If you are already using your root domain you can create a subdomain instead, for example, subdomain.zubbit.org:

4) Click Save:

5) You need to head on over to your domain’s provider.

Updaing Your Domains DNS to Point to zubb.it

For this example, we will use the domain provider Fasthosts.

6) Login to your Domain providers account.

7) Locate your domain name, in this example zubbit.org and then click on DNS:

8) Update the A record as shown below so that the A record points to IP Address 109.228.55.211:

Your domain should work almost immediately but in some cases, it can take up to 24 hours to work.

Using a Subdomain of Your Root Domain is Already Being Used

If your root domain is already being used (to point to your website for instance) then you can use a subdomain instead, in this example, we will use subdomain.zubbit.org.

9) Add a CNAME record of subdomain and point it to zubb.it as shown below:

Your domain should work almost immediately but in some cases, it can take up to 24 hours to work.

Using Your Custom Domain

10) When creating a new Zubbit Link all you need to do is pick the Customise tab and then select the custom domain you’ve set up. Easy!

11) This is Important! If you require your custom domain to use https:// you will be required to send us a ticket asking for your custom domain to be added to our SSL Certificate to avoid certificate errors within the browser.

YOU’RE CUSTOM DOMAIN SHOULD BE READY TO BE USED WITHIN 48 HOURS

As part of our really powerful theming engine on Zubbit, we wanted to make it really easy to select the colours to use on each element of your Zubbit themes.

You may or may not know this but we’ve created three different ways of selecting your colours. The first is to select your colour from our Zubbit Colour Picker as shown below:

If you know the exact colour hash code you can type it in and the selector will pick that colour for you.

But the third way is that we also support you typing in a colour word, so for example if I type in the word yellow the colour selector changes to yellow:

Zubbit’s Themes Engine is probably one of the most powerful tools of its kind. It lets you theme the look and feel of your Call-to-Action Adverts to exactly match your branding.

With it you can create cool themes like this example:

You can literally control every element of what you are seeing from Fonts, Font Weights and use Bold and Italics. You can add borders and have them Solid, Dotted, Dashed and more. You can control all the colours and add all sorts of effects. Everything is controlled independently also so you can use one font and colour on a button and another on the body of the Call-to-Action, the list goes on and on.

Along with being able to create your own themes, Zubbit also comes pre-loaded with a Theme Library which can use with lots of pre-loaded look and feels we’ve created for you to use off the shelf and for free:

You can do so much with the Zubbit Themes Engine and make your Call-to-Action Adverts truly unique. There is no other tool out there that offers quite as much control and options.

Plus once you’ve created Links using a theme, you can change them at any point. So if you’ve shared thousands of links and decided to update your theme, you don’t need to revisit each Zubbit Link. You just change your theme and every link using that theme will auto-date to the new look at feel.

Some times just one line of text on your content on your Zubbit Call-to-Action’s just isn’t enough. Well unlike virtually every other Link Shortener out there, we’ve cracked it!

YES….

We’ve come up with an easy neat way you can add line breaks into your text.

With this neat little trick you can now easily add a line break to any Brand Title, Call-to-Action message or Button Text

To enable this extra line you simply just need to use the tag

<br>

between your two lines of text as shown on the Call-to-Action Tab below:

And also on the Branding Tab:

This technique can be used on the following fields:

• Brand Title
• Call-to-Action Message
• Call-to-Action Button Text

This is an example of all three fields using an extra line:

Beyond the great theming engine on Zubbit, we’ve given our customers the ability to add their own Custom CSS to their call-to-action adverts.

In short custom CSS styles gives you the ability to change the style of individual words or characters which override the global design settings of the design selected.

Currently, there are three different styles which can be simply applied to any Call-to-Action Link – which are Bold, Italics and Underscore (see below for a more advanced styling technique):

Inline Custom CSS Styles can be applied to the following fields as shown in the example above:

• Brand Title
• Call-to-Action Message
• Call-to-Action Button Text

How do I Apply These Custom CSS Styles

We use what’s known as HTML Tags which you simply surround the word or character with. At the current time only these HTML Tags below are supported:

<b></b> (for Bold not no longer supported on IE)
<i></i> (for Italics)
<u></u> (for Underscore)
<span></span> (used for applying any type of custom style you want using a format called CSS which stands for Cascading Style Sheet - see below for further details)

So to produce the brand title in the Call-to-Action Advert above we would type this into the Brand Title field:

<b>BOLD</b> - <i>ITALICS</i> - <u>UNDERSCORE</u>

So far we have only covered three different style types.

Lets now take a look at a more advanced styling technique below!

We also allow you to apply any supported CSS style you wish through the use of the following HTML Tag:

<span></span>

by setting the style directly yourself on the HTML Tag, for example I could do this:

<span style="color:red">RED</span>

which would display the word RED as the colour red.

We can supply as many CSS styles as we wish but each one needs to be separated by a semi-colon, for example:

<span style="color:red;font-size:25px;font-weight:700">RED</span>

which would display the word RED as the colour red using a font size of 25 pixels using a font weight of 700 which is the replacement for the

<b></b>

tag.

These are some of the most popular CSS styles you can use with your Call-to-Action Advert text:

• background-color: (enter a valid color name or color hex value like #ff0000 for red)
• color: (enter a valid color name or color hex value like #ff0000 for red)
• font-size: (enter a number followed by px)
• font-family: (enter a valid font family i.e. Arial, Verdana, Courier New, Georgia, Impact etc.)
• font-style: (enter one of these normal, italic, oblique)
• font-variant: (enter one of these normal, small-caps)
• font-weight: (enter a number from 100 to 900 increments of 100 i.e. 700 is the same as using )
• letter-spacing: (enter a number followed by px)
• text-decoration: (enter one of these overline, line-through, underline)
• word-spacing: (enter a number followed by px)

These additional two have just been tested to work but are advanced styles which you will need to refer to external documentation on how to use them:

• text-shadow: (click here for further details)
• transform: (click here for further details)

Bringing all these different inline custom styles together you can produce a Call-to-Action Advert which could look like this:

One of the really fun things you can do with your Zubbit call-to-action adverts is use emojis’s to spice them up a bit.

But it’s not just about fun, Emoji’s can drive in immense traffic if you use them in your messages. 30% of people use Emojis several times a single day.

It isn’t a surprise that emoji-based marketing campaigns have also increased by 777% year-over-year according to Appboy Study.

Twitter saw 25.4% more engagement using Emojis. In Facebook, the use of Emojis resulted in 57% more likes, 33% more comments, and 33% more shares. Things are no different in Instagram. 50% of all the comments and captions have Emojis.

You can use emoji’s on virtually every element of your call-to-actions:

• Brand Title
• Call-to-Action Message
• Call-to-Action Button Text

They also work on all our call-to-action advert types. Here are a more fun examples:

You can have a lot of fun with your Emoji’s but more importantly they will help increase your conversions.
