Not everyone wants to see our fun little zubbit.io logo on their call-to-action links. If that’s you, then we’ve put together this quick little guide to teach you how to hide the zubbit.io logo on your Zubbit call-to-action links:

Follow these Simple Steps:

1) Click on the Profile option on the top right hand corner menu on your dashboard:

2) You can now tick the Remove zubbit.io logo box to hide the logo or un-tick to show logo:

3) Then press save and check one of your call-to-action links and the Zubbit branding should be gone.

DONE!

1) Go to the your Zubbit Dashboard and select Profile on top menu:

Adding retargeting pixels to the links you create and share on Zubbit is easy. You can add them to existing links or at the point you create them.

Follow these Simple Steps

1) On Call-to-Action links you just need to click the Retargeting tab and that will give you a list of your available pixels on the left.

All you need to do is click on them and they will get added to the live list on the right:

2) To remove a retargeting pixel from your live list on the right, just click again and it will be moved back to the left:

It’s as easy as that and remember you can add or change pixels on links either when you create them or edit them once live.

With Zubbit it’s easy to add a retargeting pixel to every link you share. In this guide, we will teach you step by step how to add a retargeting pixel to Zubbit.

We support most retargeting platforms/pixels, including Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, Pinterest, Quora, Google Adwords, Adroll, Citrol, Retargeter, Perfect Audience, Site Scout, Exact Drive, Centro and Choozle, but if you have another one you want to use then let us know and we will look at adding in support for it fast!

Follow these Simple Steps

1) Click on the Menu dropdown and click Retargeting Pixels in your dashboard:

2) Click on the Create Retargeting Pixel button:

3) Click on the + Create Retargeting Pixel button to display the Create Retargeting Pixel dialog box:

4) Give your Retargeting Pixel a name so you can identify it back in the dashboard:

5) Copy and paste your retargeting pixel code (e.g. from Facebook, Adroll etc.) into the Retargeting Pixel Code box:

6) When you’re happy just click Save.

YOUR’RE PIXEL IS NOW READY TO USE ON ANY LINK YOU CREATE

Changing the destination of URL link is something that is quite often needed. It’s such a simple and obvious thing to do, yet most of the link shortening services don’t let you do it… Zubbit does!

Well let’s say you create a link and share it across multiple channels and then one day in the future you need to change the page your link points to? What do you do? Well, most services don’t let you change it so that leaves you in trouble.

But all is not lost as Zubbit will let you change the URL destination of any link you’ve created and shared and it will just take you seconds to change the destination and all those links you’ve shared automatically switch over to the new destination, just like magic.

Follow these Simple Steps

1) First select Links on the menu and then press edit on the link you want to alter. You can do this on both Call-to-Action Links and Retargeting Links:

2) Click Edit on the link you want to change the destination URL for:

3) Then all you need to do is change the value of the Destination URL field and click Save:

THE DESTINATION IS NOW CHANGED AND ANYONE CLICKING ON THOSE LINKS WILL GO TO THE NEW DESTINATION!

You can easily use your own custom domain instead of the auto-generated one by simply adding it through the dashboard (please note this feature is not available on all subscriptions) and then updating a few DNS entries in your domain provider’s dashboard.

This will turn your Zubbit Links from https://zubb.it/1a2b3c to https://yourdomain.com/1a2b3c

You can use your root domain or if you already have a website hosted then a subdomain can be used as well.

For this example, we’re going to be using the following domain – zubbit.org

We will also set up a subdomain of subdomain.zubbit.org to show how you can do this if your root domain is already being used.

If you would like to use a custom domain, but don’t have one, you can buy one from here!.

Follow these Simple Steps

1) From the dashboard click Custom Domains:

2) Click the + Create Custom Domain button:

3) Enter an Alias to identify this Custom Domain, in this example, we have entered MyCustomDomain. Next, enter your Custom Domain Name, for this example, we have entered zubbit.org. If you are already using your root domain you can create a subdomain instead, for example, subdomain.zubbit.org:

4) Click Save:

5) You need to head on over to your domain’s provider.

Updaing Your Domains DNS to Point to zubb.it

For this example, we will use the domain provider Fasthosts.

6) Login to your Domain providers account.

7) Locate your domain name, in this example zubbit.org and then click on DNS:

8) Update the A record as shown below so that the A record points to IP Address 109.228.55.211:

Your domain should work almost immediately but in some cases, it can take up to 24 hours to work.

Using a Subdomain of Your Root Domain is Already Being Used

If your root domain is already being used (to point to your website for instance) then you can use a subdomain instead, in this example, we will use subdomain.zubbit.org.

9) Add a CNAME record of subdomain and point it to zubb.it as shown below:

Your domain should work almost immediately but in some cases, it can take up to 24 hours to work.

Using Your Custom Domain

10) When creating a new Zubbit Link all you need to do is pick the Customise tab and then select the custom domain you’ve set up. Easy!

11) This is Important! If you require your custom domain to use https:// you will be required to send us a ticket asking for your custom domain to be added to our SSL Certificate to avoid certificate errors within the browser.

A custom short link is great for letting your readers know what they will be connecting too and gives confidence that it’s safe to click when they see it shared on social networks. It’s also a great way of you organising your Zubbit links.

When you shorten a link on Zubbit by default we generate you a short link which will look something like this:

zubb.it/abc123

On all our link types we offer the ability to change that auto-generated code with a shortlink of your own choosing.

Whether you are generating a short link or creating a call-to-action advert link or even an RSS Feed, we now have a tab called Customise where you can customise your link with either a custom domain or a custom short link.

All you need to do is drop in your custom shortlink and when you click save and generate your Zubbit Link it will now use your custom code:

Of course, you can leave this field blank and a shortlink will be automatically assigned by default.

You could put your product, service or offer name in there.

As part of our really powerful theming engine on Zubbit, we wanted to make it really easy to select the colours to use on each element of your Zubbit themes.

You may or may not know this but we’ve created three different ways of selecting your colours. The first is to select your colour from our Zubbit Colour Picker as shown below:

If you know the exact colour hash code you can type it in and the selector will pick that colour for you.

But the third way is that we also support you typing in a colour word, so for example if I type in the word yellow the colour selector changes to yellow:

Is that awesome or what?
